AMERIPEX 86 was a landmark World Class international stamp exhibition held in Chicago, Illinois, from May 22 to June 1, 1986, at the O’Hare Exposition Center in Rosemont. As a rare event—hosted in the United States only once every decade—AMERIPEX 86 attracted global attention from stamp collectors, exhibitors, dealers, and postal historians.

The show featured a vast array of stamps, covers, competitive international exhibits, postal history displays, first-day issue ceremonies, and participation from hundreds of dealers.
